Jindal visits Michigan for fundraiser
Gov. Bobby Jindal will be in Michigan today to raise money for the Michigan Republican Party, Jindal’s office said Monday.
The governor planned to fly to Michigan after raising money in Houston Monday night for his re-election campaign.
Jindal plans to seek a second term in 2011.
His office said Jindal would attend fundraisers in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Bloomfield Hills, Mich., a suburb of Detroit, for the Michigan Republican Party.
Jindal has attended a string of out-of-state fundraisers this year. The other trips have taken him to California, Texas, North Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois and Massachusetts.
The governor’s campaign fund topped $3 million by the end of 2008, according to the latest campaign-finance report he’s filed with the state Ethics Board.
