Police and fire briefs for Nov. 8

Authorities arrested at least three people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish between 3 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them are:

• James Kerr, 59, 15013 Woodrow Kerr Lane, Zachary, first-offense DWI.
• Christopher Jahill Brown, 23, 5293 S. Brightside View Drive, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle, resisting an officer and improper lane usage.
• Christopher Turner, 40, 206 Alice Drive, Lafayette, possession of Schedule II drugs, first-offense DWI and following too close to another vehicle.
