18-year-old held in June 3 slaying

Police arrested an 18-year-old man Thursday in the June 3 killing of 21-year-old Louis Shelton Deggs Jr.

Deggs was shot during a fight in the 2800 block of Jackson Street, an affidavit of probable cause says.

Jeremy M. Robertson Jr., 18, assisted Keith Richard Brown, 21, and one other man in the shooting, the affidavit says.

Brown, 2786 Cedar Ave., was arrested the day the shooting occurred. Robertson, 724 N. 22nd St., was arrested Thursday. Both men were booked into Parish Prison on a count of second-degree murder.

Robertson also was booked on a count of domestic abuse battery in an April incident during which he allegedly tried to strangle a woman.

Suspect arrested on porn, drug counts

An 18-year-old man was arrested Thursday, accused of possession of pornography involving a juvenile.

Louisiana State Police investigators found the images on computers they seized from Dylan Tetlow’s 14939 Jefferson Highway home, an affidavit of probable cause says.

Investigators also found two brownies laced with marijuana and a pipe used to smoke marijuana at the man’s home, the affidavit says.

Tetlow was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of pornography involving a juvenile, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Texas woman held in Aug. 5 robbery

Police arrested a 50-year-old Texas woman Thursday for allegedly robbing a man who gave her a ride. Lisa Evans approached the man on Aug. 5 at the Texaco at 8420 Veterans Memorial Blvd., an affidavit of probable cause says. She pointed a gun at him and demanded money when she got inside his car, the affidavit says.
