Unattended pot blamed in BR blaze
A spokesman with the Fire Department said an unattended pot on a stove is to blame for a morning house fire on Brady Street.
Firefighters were called to 3162 Brady St. at 4 a.m. and had the blaze under control 30 minutes later, Robert Combs said.
The man living in the home said he was cooking and “apparently fell asleep.”
The man escaped unharmed but the home suffered significant damage to the kitchen and attic, Combs said.
