Shooting victim dies

The victim of a shooting on Sunday has died.

Frankie Hamilton, 19, 5136 Winbourne Ave., died Monday from a gunshot wound to the head that occurred Sunday, Nov. 1, around 5:45 a.m. at 5136 Winbourne Ave.

Hamilton and a 16-year-old suspect were having an argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
 
During the altercation the 16-year-old suspect pulled out a handgun and shot Hamilton in the head.

Hamilton was transported to a local hospital and listed in critical condition until his death.
 
The 16-year-old suspect was taken into custody shortly after the shooting occurred and now has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Illegal Use of a Weapon and Illegal Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile.
