2 suspects jailed in sex party case

Two Port Allen men accused of luring underage girls to drinking parties where the teenagers stripped and engaged in sexual activity are now in custody, authorities said Monday.
One of the men, Daryl Swanson Jr., 19, 3838 Rougon Road, drew the attention of West Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies by playing music over his car stereo too loudly as he cruised through the Wal-Mart parking lot in Port Allen about 5 p.m. Sunday, Sheriff Mike Cazes said.
After Swanson was cautioned by deputies, he drove to the other side of the parking lot and “started doing burnouts,” Cazes said.
Deputies discovered when they pulled Swanson over that he had an outstanding warrant in the sex party case and took him to jail.
A second suspect, Luther Edward Fleming III, 12132 Patricia Ave., surrendered to police shortly after 1 p.m. Monday, Cazes said.
Both are being held in the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center, Cazes said.
A third suspect, Brandon Collins II, 22, 6128 Flynn Road, surrendered Friday.
He has since posted bond and been released, the sheriff said.
Agents with the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control obtained arrest warrants on Friday for the three men, who were accused of luring five girls, ages 15 and 16, to “beer pong” drinking parties at homes in West Baton Rouge Parish.
The girls were coaxed into stripping in front of others and engaging in sexual activity, officials said.
The men communicated with the students via cell phone and on MySpace pages on the Internet, where agents discovered “lewd pictures and comments” posted about the activities at the drinking parties, authorities said.
A complaint from a parent in Erwinville triggered the investigation, authorities have said.
