SATSUMA — Deputies arrested an allegedly intoxicated man accused of running naked in front of a school bus carrying elementary school children, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.

According to a Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies received a 911 call from a school bus driver around 7:45 a.m. Friday complaining that she saw an unclothed man later identified as Casey Charles Hagan, 22, 4587 Yvonne Drive, Baker, run down Cane Market Road near Satsuma in plain view. The driver, whose passengers attend the first through fifth grades, had to swerve into the oncoming traffic lane to avoid hitting the running man, deputies said.

When deputies arrived five minutes later, the man had left the roadway and allegedly was taking a swim in a recently dug pond near a home, the Sheriff‘s Office said.

Deputies booked Hagan into the Livingston Parish Jail on Friday with indecent exposure, disturbing the peace by intoxication, criminal trespass and obstruction of a public passage way, deputies said.

Hagan posted a $2,000 bond and was released Saturday, Sheriff’s Deputy Perry Rushing said. Hagan is scheduled to be arraigned in court on July 2.
