2nd man in custody in April kidnapping
Police arrested a second man Friday in connection with an April home invasion and kidnapping.
Carl Johnson, 18, is one of five men who broke into the home of Ulysses Morgan, 11766 Glenda Drive, on the morning of April 10, according to an arrest warrant.
Once inside, Johnson and the other men beat Morgan on the head, and used duct tape to tie up a pregnant woman and two juvenile boys. The men then forced Morgan into a truck and drove to Morgan’s mother’s home, which they proceeded to ransack that house, the warrant says.
Johnson, 4155 Essen Lane, Apt. 296, was booked into Parish Prison Friday on four counts of armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping, according to booking documents.
Eric Franklin, 24, 2435 Huron St., was arrested in connection with the same crime on April 20.
