2 robbery suspects sought by police
Police are looking for two men who robbed an Advance Auto Parts on Tuesday morning while wearing white T-shirts over their faces.

The two men carried handguns into the store at 2346 N. Foster Drive about 10 a.m. and demanded money, police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said. The men grabbed the money and then drove away in a gray 2000 Dodge Intrepid that was later found in the 3900 block of West Brookstown Drive.

The first robber was described as a dark-skinned black man about 20 to 25 years old who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds, McKneely said. He was wearing dark colored jeans, a black T-shirt and wore a white shirt over his face.

The second robber was described as a dark-skinned black man also about 20 to 25 years old who stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weights 190 pounds, McKneely said. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue and white plaid shorts and covered his face with another white shirt.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Armed Robbery division at (225) 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.

Man jailed in 2007 stabbing, robbery
A man accused of entering a friend’s apartment through an unlocked bedroom window in July before attacking him with a knife and escaping with money was arrested.

Ernest Carlos White, 29, is accused of going into the apartment about 10 a.m. on July 1 and asking for marijuana, an arrest warrant says. When the resident said he did not have, White allegedly asked him for money.

The resident refused and White is accused of arming himself with a kitchen knife and stabbing the resident in the abdomen, the warrant says. White then took $120 from the victim and ran out the front door.

White, 7777 Gov. Blanchard Drive, was arrested Monday by East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s deputies and booked into Parish Prison on counts of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery, booking records show.
