PRAIRIEVILLE — A man died in an accidental fire that occurred sometime before 2 a.m. Saturday in his fifth-wheel camper, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Bruce Chaisson, 33, 6924 Braswell Lane, Ethel, died at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after the 2001 Dodge Caravan he was riding in slammed into the back of a 2004 Honda Civic, said Sgt. A man in Baton Rouge on an expired student visa was arrested Friday in Baton Rouge and accused of illegally possessing thousands of doses of controlled dangerous substances.
