Sheriff’s Office: Man had 51 pounds of pot
HAMMOND — A Hammond man arrested Friday is accused of possessing 51 pounds of marijuana and 200 grams of crack cocaine, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reported.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Livingston Sheriff’s Office, Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office and Hammond Police Department joined in arresting Antwain Terrel Robertson, 34, 29571 Sonya Drive, Hammond, according to a statement issued by the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators booked Robertson with illegal possession of the two drugs after serving a search warrant at his home, the statement says.
Robertson was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail because his home is located in Livingston Parish but has a Hammond mailing address, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said.
Investigators also anticipate the evidence against Robertson would be presented before a federal grand jury in Baton Rouge, the statement says.
