These pets are available at the Denham Springs Animal Shelter, 600 Bowman St., Denham Springs.

The shelter is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week. The shelter needs old newspapers to line animal kennels. Call (225) 664-4472.

Pets are also available at Tangipahoa Parish Animal Control, 15487 Club Deluxe Road, Hammond.

The shelter is open from noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The shelter is open for pet adoptions only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Call (985) 543-0215.
