The Division of Extended Studies at Southeastern Louisiana University has launched its newly designed Web site.

The new site, http://www.selu.edu/es has an updated and user friendly layout that will allow the division to better serve students, faculty and the community across three locations: Hammond, Mandeville, and Walker, officials said.

The site was developed by Branan Steib with assistance from Nicole Hilliard, both SLU students, and provides details about programs offerings through Extended Studies.

“Extended Studies covers a wide range of programs from leisure courses, work force and professional development programs to summer activities for children,” said Tom Dawsey, coordinator of special projects for Southeastern’s Extended Studies.

“The new web site has exciting features such as online registration forms, the Continuing U electronic catalog, e-news subscription button and links to the Extended Studies’ Facebook and Twitter pages.”

The site will also post the university’s academic credit courses available through distance learning and at off-campus sites.

The electronic courses, delivered via Internet, compressed video and the Southeastern Channel, can be found on the new site, which also contains all credit courses offered in Mandeville’s St. Tammany Center and the Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center in Walker.

For more information, contact the Division of Extended Studies at (800) 256-2771 or send an e-mail to extended.studies@selu.edu.
