CASA to offer volunteer training
Court Appointed Special Advocates is looking for volunteers to represent children involved in Child in Need of Care proceedings in Livingston Parish.
Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, have an interest in speaking up for a child, and the ability to invest one to two hours a week advocating for an abused child.
CASA now offers an independent study curriculum as a training option for people in the community who want to volunteer, but can’t find the time to complete the traditional 40-hour training course.
CASA training starts in Denham Springs at 6 p.m. on June 3.
For more information and location information, call (225) 791-3136 or visit https://www.childadv.net.
