Walker High to hold graduation May 16

Walker High School graduation will be held at 7:30 p.m. May 16 at Abundant Life Church, 206 Edgewood Drive, Denham Springs.

The Class of 2008 has nine valedictorians, each of whom has earned a 4.0 grade-point average.

Lucie Jholeh Aligholizadeh is the daughter of Manoncher and Frankie Aligholizadeh. She plans to major in biological physics at LSU in Baton Rouge.

Adam Neil Currence, the son of Jody and Carla Currence, plans to attend Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., where he will major in Bible studies, with an emphasis on youth ministry.

Jessi Kelley, the daughter of Kalib and Julie Kelley, will major in natural horsemanship at the University of Montana-Western in Dillon, Mont.

Amber Michelle Law, the daughter of Tommy and Lisa Law, plans to major in art/design at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

Asia Marie Mansur, the daughter of Kim B. Mansur, will major in radiology at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge.

Jennifer Lauren Matthews, the daughter of Timothy Paul and Jennifer Lynn Matthews, will major in mathematics education at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

Jessica Leighanne Rhodus, the daughter of Jerry and Belinda Rhodus, plans to major in biological chemistry at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

Danielle Reneé Rochester, the daughter of Charles and Reneé McClure Rochester, will major in neonatal nursing at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge.

Paul Michael Thompson, the son of Greg and Angela Thompson, plans to major in finance at LSU in Baton Rouge.
