Running for Office: Ascension Parish constable
PRAIRIEVILLE — Danny P. Thibodeaux said he is running for constable in the 2nd Justice Court District of Ascension Parish to maintain and improve the level of service for residents of the Prairieville area.
Thibodeaux, 51, a Republican, is running against G.W. Anderson and Richard James, both Democrats, in the Oct. 4 primary election.
Thibodeaux has served as an auxiliary deputy sheriff with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, serving as a communications officer, patrolman and water patrol team member.
Thibodeaux also has been a member of the Hazardous Material team, bringing with him the training he received working for Shell Chemical for 33 years.
Additionally, Thibodeaux has belonged to the Prairieville Volunteer Fire Department where he served as firefighter, chief officer and president during his 10 years of active service.
Thibodeaux, who lives in Prairieville, is a graduate of East Ascension High School.
He and his wife have three daughters.
