Gulf Island Fabrication quarterly earnings up
HOUMA (AP) — Gulf Island Fabrication Inc., which builds offshore petroleum structures, recorded a higher profit in the third quarter.
The Houma-based company earned $6 million, or 41 cents per share, on revenue of $76.6 million. That’s up from earnings in last year’s third quarter of $2.8 million, or 20 cents per share, on revenue of $92.7 million.
Gulf Island says it has a current project backlog of $136.1 million.
