Craig Livingston has been named chief lending officer at American Gateway Bank. Livingston was previously senior vice president and lending officer in the commercial loan department. 

Paul J. Arrigo, president and chief executive officer of the Baton Rouge Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been elected to a two-year term on the board of the Southeast Tourism Society. STS, headquartered in Atlanta, promotes travel and tourism throughout the 12-state Southeast. 

Peter Dieterich has been named business development coordinator with Fenstermaker. He was previously proposal manager for IEM Inc. 

Wanda Raby Spurlock, an associate professor in Southern University’s School of Nursing, is one of three nurses selected nationally to be part of a partnership to develop a Web-based assessment tool for registered nurses in nursing homes to assess their knowledge specific to the care of older people with dementia. The project is being funded by the STTI Foundation of Nursing-Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in partnership with the Hartford Centers of Geriatric Nursing Excellence. 

BBi Architectural Services has appointed Thomas Ryan as vice president. Ryan is the firm’s managing architect for the renovation and site adaption program for Chick-fil-A. 

Jessica Perkins has been named chief business officer of the You Can Succeed Program of Student Excellence. Perkins was executive director of business affairs for the organization. 

Joseph Andrew Gutierrez has been named director of communications and marketing by the Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana. Gutierrez was a producer and marketing assistant for WBRZ-TV. 

Penny M. Clement has joined Britton and Koontz Bank as senior vice president and manager of private client services at 4703 Bluebonnet in The Oaks at Bluebonnet Parc. She was previously a vice president and private banker with Hancock Bank.  

Philip Griffith has been named chief investment officer for the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana. Griffith was deputy chief investment officer. 

Christopher P. Knotts has been elected president of the Louisiana section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Officers are: Patrick J. Landry, president-elect; Ronald L. Schumann, vice president; Kurt M. Mixon, secretary-treasurer; and Ali M. Mustapha, past president. Directors are: Dax A. Douet, Christopher G. Humphreys,  C. Eric Hudson, Russell J. Coco Jr., Luke E. LeBas, Christopher L. Sanchez, Joshua P. Stutes, Jeffrey L. Duplantis, Benjamin M. Cody and J. Daniel Thompson. 

Keith Thompson, regional vice president for American First Insurance, has been appointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Louisiana Insurance Guaranty Association. American First Insurance is headquartered in Richardson, Texas, and has offices in St. Louis, Oklahoma City and Ruston.
