Diane T. Baum, chief executive officer of Discountpermit.com, a Baton Rouge environmental and stormwater consulting firm, has earned the designation of LEED AP from the U.S. Green Building Council. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional recognizes an understanding of green building practices and principles and completion of an accreditation exam.
State Insurance Department employees Clarissa A. Preston, John A. Lamke and Sherice D. Forte have completed the requirements for the Associate Professional in Insurance Regulation designation from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Preston is deputy commissioner of the Office of Consumer Advocacy. Lamke and Forte are insurance compliance examiner specialists in that office.
Nottoway Plantation’s 150th Anniversary Celebration has been named a Southern Travel Treasure by AAA’s magazine, AAA Southern Traveler. Nottaway is featured in the July/August issue, which circulates to more than 210,000 homes in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Patricea Katherine Angelle of Baton Rouge has been named a fellow by the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists. She is owner, compounding pharmacist and consultant of Prescription Compounds.
