ESP Resources to acquire Turf Chemistry

Scott-based ESP Resources Inc. will acquire oil and gas specialty chemicals manufacturer Turf Chemistry Inc. of Mission, Texas, for an undisclosed sum.

Turf’s revenues for the last fiscal year were more than $1 million. ESP President David Dugas said the deal gives ESP greater distribution in south Texas as well as expertise and the opportunity to expand contracts with multinational oil and gas companies.

Turf supplies production and drilling chemicals, as well as chemicals for waste treatment and remediation in oilfields. ESP makes and distributes specialty chemicals and provides analytical services to the oil and gas industry.

ESP was trading at 40 cents per share today.
