Larry Crumbley, KPMG Endowed Professor in the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business department of accounting, has been awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Crumbley met the requirements by demonstrating experience in financial forensics, as well as life-long learning and education activities.

The Our Lady of the Lake marketing team earned a gold award at the Aster Awards, hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images Inc., for its Children’s Hospital calendar; three silver awards for its “We Believe” advertising campaign and one bronze award for the Nursing Annual Report.  OLOL also earned two silver awards and two bronze awards in the Healthcare Advertising Awards national competition sponsored by the Healthcare Marketing Report. Also, OLOL has been named   Hospital of the Year for Respiratory Care by the Louisiana Society for Respiratory Care. The hospital won in the over-200 beds division. 

Jesse M. LeBlanc and Jason R. Cashio have been named fellows of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, which works to preserve, honor and improve the justice system. LeBlanc is an attorney with the 23rd Judicial District Court in Gonzales. Cashio is an attorney with Kean Miller in Baton Rouge. 

The Louisiana County Agents Association honored area LSU AgCenter extension employees. Louis Lirette, associate county agent in West Baton Rouge Parish, received an Achievement Award. Distinguished Service Awards went to Don Reed, wildlife specialist at the Bob R. Jones Idlewild Research Station in Clinton; Stuart Gauthier, county agent in Vermilion Parish; and Johnny Saichuk, rice specialist at the LSU AgCenter Rice Research Station near Crowley. Buck Loeonards, publisher of Louisiana Farm and Ranch magazine, was recognized for promoting Louisiana agriculture. 

Members of the Baton Rouge chapter of the national Institute of Internal Auditors have received IIA-sponsored certifications.  Named certified internal auditors are: Stephanie Renee Rhodes, LSU health care services division; Crista Stokes and Ashley Comeaux, both from The Shaw Group Inc.; Patrick Goldsmith, Emily Wilson, Nicole Edmonson, Brad Bourgeois and Emilie Robinson, all of the Office of Louisiana Legislative Auditor; Meghann Holland and Mary Saporito, both from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana; and Jennifer Monteleone, Amedisys Inc.; Matthew Arceneaux, IBM Corp., received the certified financial services auditor designation.;  Melissa Gayle Schultz, Office of Louisiana Legislative Auditor, received the certified government auditing professional designation. Four members earned the CGAP designation in addition to the CIA designation. They are Emilie Robinson, Nicole Edmonson,  Emily Wilson and Brad Bourgeois, all from the Office of Louisiana Legislative Auditor. 

Twelve new members will be inducted into the Louisiana 4-H Hall of Fame. Those from the Baton Rouge area are Charles Lesley “C.L.” Flowers, East Baton Rouge Parish; Nancy W. Marceaux, Vermilion Parish;  Loretta Guidry, LaFourche Parish; Mansel S. Slaughter, East Baton Rouge Parish: and Denise Turner, Lafayette Parish .

Recipients of national, regional, state or local honors are eligible for inclusion in the Business Honors column. In-house company honors and sales awards are not eligible. Deadline is 5 p.m. Monday.
