Bradley Tassin and Nick Mills of MAPP Construction have passed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design professional accreditation examination. LEED accreditation verifies individual expertise in the principles of green building design, construction and operation.
The NeuroMedical Center has been granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories. Accreditation signifies that the facility has been reviewed by an independent agency, which recognizes the laboratory’s commitment to quality testing for the diagnosis of heart disease.
Adelaide Russo, an LSU professor of French studies, has been honored with the 16th annual Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for French and Francophone Literary Studies from the Modern Language Association of America. The prize is awarded annually for an outstanding book in its field — a literary or linguistic study, a critical edition of an important work or a critical biography-written by a member of the association. Russo was selected in recognition of her book, “Le peintre comme modele du surrealisme a l’extreme contemporain,” published by Presses Universitaires du Septentrion.
