Medicare patients in Louisiana are able to make changes to their Medicare prescription drug plans until Dec. 31.

To assist beneficiaries, Medicare has developed Plan Finder, an online service that allows beneficiaries to compare plans from different companies.

Plan Finder can be found at: http://www.medicare.gov. Click on the “Prescription Drug Plans Compare” link.

If changes are made, the new coverage and costs begin Jan. 1.

The site is sponsored by the Louisiana Health Care Review, the Medicare quality improvement organization for Louisiana.
