Fall Business Forum
The Tulane Family Business Center will hold its fall Family Business Forum 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in the Executive MBA Conference Room 4131 in the Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II at No. 7 McAlister Drive on Tulane University’s uptown campus.
Drew Mendoza of the Family Business Consulting Group of Chicago will address topics that include: how to get started with family meetings, ways to keep family meetings dynamic, common causes of family firm failures in sibling and cousin generations, structural and procedural changes recommended for the sibling and cousin generations, skills and qualities to look for in a facilitator, and fundamental changes that are needed in the company’s strategic and governance processes.

Financial aid on tap
Louisiana primary care physicians can get financial aid to adopt electronic health records systems in their practices.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is accepting applications from small- to medium-sized practitioners for its five-year Electronic Health Records Demonstration Project.
Practitioners could receive up to $290,000 in project reimbursements during a five-year period.
The application package and additional information with details about the EHR Demonstration Project are at http://www.lhcqf.org. The deadline is Nov. 26.

Closeout retailer Tuesday Morning has opened a store at 3731 Perkins Road.
Hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.
Tuesday Morning sells upscale home products at a discount. The chain operates 847 stores in 47 states.
