American Gateway Insurance Agency will be led by insurance industry veteran Gary Burkett offer personal and commercial insurance coverage including homeowners, medical and life insurance, and business coverage such as property, general liability, worker’s compensation and umbrella policies.
Seminar set
The Louisiana Looking Up 2008 seminar will be held 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Lod Cook Alumni Center, 3838 W. Lakeshore Drive at LSU.
A reception will be held 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the center.
This seminar will showcase Louisiana entrepreneurs and provide a networking opportunity.
Moderated by Dan S. Borné, president of Louisiana Chemical Association, this year’s seminar will feature speakers and panelists that celebrate successful business practices in Louisiana. Confirmed guest speakers include Steven Moret, secretary of Louisiana Economic Development and Dennis Blunt, partner of Phelps Dunbar and president of 100 Black Men.
Confirmed panelists include Lee Michael Berg, president and CEO of Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry; Tom Cox, president and CEO of Golfballs.com; Dwayne G. Honore, president of D. Honore Construction; Steve and Cindy Kuhnau, CEO & president and vice president of Smoothie King; Janice Harvey Pellar, president of EMCO; Manuel Perez de la Mesa, president and CEO of Pool Corporation; David R. Voelker, owner of Frantzen Voelker Investment.
Eli Jones, the new dean of the E.J. Ourso College of Business, will provide the opening remarks for the seminar.
The cost is $50 for members of the MBAAA and $75 for non-members. Seating is limited to 250.
