Lane Regional Medical Center has opened its freestanding, 9,250-square-foot Cardiovascular Center in Zachary.
The $4 million dollar project features a catheterization lab and CT scanner in the same suite. The hospital noted the facilities allow it to create a complete 3D reconstruction of the heart and the major vessels of the body and perform all cardiovascular procedures except open heart surgery.
The Lane Cardiovascular Center also features outpatient access; areas for EKG, Echo and Stress testing; and paperless digital imaging.
One of the largest employers in Zachary, Lane Regional Medical Center is a 137-bed acute-care hospital with a local investment of more than 750 staff members and 100 physicians dedicated to providing the latest technology and services.
