Craig DeRoche has been named director of operations and Jeremy Gaspard as senior technician for Accel Home, a residential expansion of Accel Protection and Technologies in Breaux Bridge. DeRoche was general manager of Argus Security Group in Lafayette, and Gaspard was an installation technician there.

Timothy Chandler and Hettie Richardson, of LSU’s E.J. Ourso College of Business, have been named co-chairs of the Rucks Department of Management. Chandler is the William W. and Catherine M. Rucks Professor of Management. He will manage internal affairs such as course scheduling, grade appeals, faculty performance evaluations and budget concerns. Richardson is a Ph.D. adviser. She will represent the department through external relations.

Raychel Maez has been named associate director of the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business Office of Advancement. She was assistant director.

A. Michael “Skeeter” Moore has been named chief operating officer at Hammerman & Gainer Inc., a property/casualty, health-care and project management administrator. He was vice president for health and benefit services.

Thomas A. Cotten, a certified public accountant, has been named to the Louisiana Economic Development Corp. board of directors. Cotten was nominated by the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants.

Thomas Keith Huval has been named chairman of the board of directors for Farmers-Merchants Bank and Trust Co. He is executive vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Brown & Brown Louisiana Inc. (formerly Huval Insurance Agency).

Tim Reier has been named underwriting manager at LUBA Workers’ Comp. He was an underwriting consultant at Zurich North America’s small business unit in Baton Rouge.

Eugene E. Smith has been named senior vice president of operations for Gulf States Health Services. He was chief executive officer for BridgeCare Hospitals. Smith will maintain an office in Baton Rouge.

Ross R. Hollan has been named operations manager for Louisiana Chemical Pipe, Valve & Fitting Inc. He was area field manager for the Southwest region for Lamar Corp.

Cornel J. Martin has been named president and chief executive officer of Waterways Council Inc., effective Aug. 1. Current president and CEO R. Barry Palmer will retire at the end of December. Martin was CEO and chairman of Direct Workforce Inc., a contract labor company serving the shipbuilding, ship repair and oil and gas industries, in Houma.

The Louisiana Public Facilities Authority board of trustees has elected John D. Bernhardt, of Lafayette, as chairman. Other officers and board members are: Camille Cutrone, New Orleans, vice chairman; Carl Clark, Kenner, secretary/treasurer; Chris Arsement, Lafayette; Jerome Boykin, Houma; and Sara Roberts, Lake Charles. The Louisiana Public Facilities Authority is a self-supporting public trust and public corporation that issues bonds to finance public and private projects across the state.
