Florida Parishes Bank has named Hart Bordelon as vice president in the lending division; Derek Shants as a vice president working with loan reviews, internal audits and credit analysis; and Stephen Pepitone as collections administrator. Bordelon is a certified public accountant and contractor in private practice. Shants was chief financial officer of Central Progressive Bank. Pepitone is a recent graduate of LSU. Florida Parishes Bank has offices in Hammond and Ponchatoula.
 
Joseph B. Zanco has been named chief financial officer at Home Bank in Lafayette. He was executive vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer for Iberiabank.

Ken Lee has been named chief financial officer at Central Progressive Bank in Lacombe. He was treasurer at United Central Bank in Garland, Texas.

Jodi Conachen, public relations manager for Woman’s Hospital, has been elected president of the Louisiana Society for Hospital Public Relations and Marketing. Nicole Hidalgo, director of marketing and communications for Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, is president-elect. New board members from the local area include Rhonda Alfred, director of marketing and planning for Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, and Terri McNorton, vice president of marketing for Baton Rouge General Medical Center.

Bob Breaux has been named chief operating officer of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations. He is also interim chief executive officer. Breaux was owner of Total Computer Systems Inc.

Elaine Durbin Abell, an attorney in private practice, has been elected president of the Community Foundation of Acadiana. Other officers and board of directors are David Calhoun, vice president, Janet Morein Wood, secretary/treasurer and audit committee chair; Barry Berthelot, immediate past chair; Leonard Lemoine, board and resource development chair; Frank Neuner Jr., civic leadership committee chair; Caroline Boudreaux, legal and financial affairs committee chair; and Michael DeHart, investment committee chair. Community Foundation of Acadiana is a public foundation that provides approaches to philanthropy.

Sue Cary has been named president-elect of the American Nephrology Nurses’ Association. She will serve a three-year term as president-elect, president and immediate past president. Cary is a nurse practitioner at the Ochsner Health System in Baton Rouge.

Jim Davis has been named director of the Louisiana Center for the Book at the State Library of Louisiana. The center within the library is charged with promoting the state’s literary culture. Davis has been with the Jefferson Parish Library system, serving as adult programming manager and handling public communication and marketing and its Web site.

Vanessa Brown Claiborne, a certified public accountant and executive vice president with Chaffe and Associates Inc., has been elected president of the Louisiana chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Other officers and directors are Luis Zervigon, a certified financial planner and president of Family Office of the South Inc., vice president of membership and treasurer; and Scott Whittaker, an attorney with Stone Pigman who chairs the firm’s business section, board member.

Trey Horne has been named vice president of administration at Compliance Envirosystems LLC. He was operations manager.

David Eustis, senior vice president of Whitney National Bank in New Orleans, has been named chairman of the Public Affairs Research Council board of directors. The PAR board also elected Donna M. Saurage of Baton Rouge, vice chairman; Gordon Pugh, senior partner at Breazeale, Sachse and Wilson in Baton Rouge, secretary; and R. Hunter Pierson, Pierson Investments in New Orleans, treasurer. New PAR board members from the local area are C. Paul Hilliard, president of Badger Oil in Lafayette, and Sharon Kleinpeter, vice president for government and public affairs at Cox Communications in Baton Rouge. Directors re-elected from the local area are Donna Carville, public affairs manager at Dow Chemical Co. in Plaquemine; Beth Courtney, president/CEO of Louisiana Public Broadcasting in Baton Rouge; E. Renae Conley, president/CEO of Entergy/Louisiana in Baton Rouge; O. Fred Loy, executive director of the Committee of 100 for Economic Development in Baton Rouge; and Richard O. Mohring, plant manager-polyolefins at Exxon Mobil in Baton Rouge.

Meg Mahoney has been named senior vice president of product development at the Baton Rouge Area Chamber. Mahoney was director of technology, entrepreneurship and small business for the chamber.
