VFW holds its bingo party for seniors

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3693 and its Ladies Auxiliary hosted its annual bingo party for 123 area seniors and people with disabilities on Oct. 12 at the post hall on Churchpoint Road in Gonzales.
The VFW honored anyone having a birthday or celebrating a wedding anniversary in October and held bingo games. The group gave away 35 gifts.
Celebrating birthdays were Beverly Hebert, Pat Valentine, Carolyn Mire, Lavern Guidry and Jeanette Braud. Mary and Howard Lambert and Violet and A.J. Parent celebrated wedding anniversaries.
The party is held on the second Monday of each month and the next event is at 1 p.m. Nov. 9.
