4-H members plan Halloween safety

Bus Safety Week, Farm Day, cooking contests and Halloween safety were on the agenda for the Oct. 14 meeting of the Dutchtown 4-H Club, club reporters Abby Ellender, Kassie deVeer and Lilly May said.

The meeting was called to order by President Madison Mire and Brant Templet led the group in the 4-H pledge.

Club members who attended Becky Petite’s Farm Day were honored for their work with children with disabilities. Members also talked about the lessons they learned during Bus Safety Week. Students who took part in the 4-H parishwide Egg Cookery and Chicken Que contestants were recognized.

Club members also finalized details for Halloween safety lessons and Red Ribbon Week details.

The group is led by President Madison Mire; Vice Presidents Brant Templet and Mike Basso; Secretary-Treasurers Braley Bourque, Kaitlin Moreau, and Whitney Tudor; reporters Abby Ellender, Kassie deVeer and Lilly May.

Dalla Lipoma, Jordan Templet, Adam Johnson, and Emily Dunaway are on the safety committee and Paris Baker, Karin Magee, Adeja Thompson, Collin Bellina, and Emily Simpson make up the community resource development committee. Sydney Alexander and Logan Blouin are on the activity committee.
