Parish park committee seeks oldest veteran

The Veterans Memorial Park Committee is looking for the oldest veteran in the parish.
Park Committee Chairman Jack Watson said the group is planning to honor the oldest veteran during an 11 a.m. Memorial Day ceremony at the park on Irma Boulevard in Gonzales.
Watson said the oldest veteran they know of is 90.
“Anyone 90 or older is probably going to be the oldest living veteran, and we want to honor that person for their service,” Watson said.
