Ascension tennis meet has 60 players in Gonzales

Sixty tennis players took part in the eighth annual Spring Tennis tournament hosted by the Ascension Tennis Association April 5-6 at the Gonzales Tennis Center.
Four teams competed against each other for first- and second- place honors. Teams included adults, high school students and players from the Junior League. Scores were tabulated for each team as players won points with different partners and different opponents.
The tournament was coordinated by Graylin and Wanda Mayers with the help of volunteers Rita Patrizi, Cheryl Palmisano, Annette Marchand, Alice Townsend, Claudette Bourque, Carol Vallee, Louis Bordelon and Ellen Bordelon.
