The Gonzales Middle School boys and girls soccer teams are sharing the parish soccer championship thanks to wins on the final days of the season.
The Gonzales Middle boys team captured a share of the title by defeating the Dutchtown team, 1-0, in the season finale April 29. The Gonzales and Dutchtown teams were crowned parish co-champions.
The Gonzales Middle girls’ team ended the season with a 3-0 victory against the Galvez Middle team on April 28. The teams from Dutchtown, Prairieville and Gonzales Middle sharing in the parish title.
