Council OKs spending of $20,000

The public parking garage on Buchanan Street in downtown Lafayette is being discussed by the Lafayette City-Parish Council. Close to the Parish Courthouse, it is often used by its employees, and safety has become an issue. A roll-down metal door and a security fence are being considered for installation.
