The location of Tuesday’s Scotlandville community “listening tour,” being conducted by Southern University School of Architecture and the Urban+Rural Community Design Research Center, has been changed,  a news release says.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. at Greater Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 1414 Sora St. The meeting was originally scheduled for Richardson Chapel Church of God in Christ.

Southern’s College of Architecture is conducting a series of  community meetings in Scotlandville to get input on a long range plan to change and improve the Scotlandville area. When the tour is completed, the School of Architecture will present the information from the previous tours back to the community for feedback.

Scotlandville is generally bounded on the north by Blount Road and Scenic Highway, on the west by the Mississippi River, on the south by Harding Boulevard and on the east by Elm Grove Garden Drive.
