Police and Fire Briefs for May 21, 2007

Baton Rouge firefighter Jake Furr thanks a driver with a smile after getting a little closer to filling his boot with donations Friday. The department’s Fill the Boot fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association is in full swing. Furr and other firefighters were at the corner of Sherwood Forest Boulevard and Coursey Boulevard collecting money toward their goal of $20,000. olunteers will continue their fund drive during peak traffic hours throughout June.
