Troopers want help to find hit, run driver

GALLIANO — Louisiana State Police are asking the public’s help in finding the hit-and-run driver accused of killing a Cut Off man nearly a year ago, troopers said Thursday.
Dwain Carrell, 55, was hit by a car at 7:05 p.m. Dec. 26, 2008, while he was removing debris from the inside lane of La. 3235 near the Galliano Walmart, troopers said in a statement.
The white 1998 Ford Escort with Louisiana license plate SIJ396 that hit Carrell was registered to owner Santiago Osorio Rodriguez, 145 Terrebonne Lane, Golden Meadow, troopers said.
Anyone with information about the accident or the whereabouts of Rodriguez or the driver is asked to call Louisiana State Police Troop C at (985) 857-3680 or the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigative Division at (985) 876-8842.
