The first public meeting of the Donaldsonville to the Gulf Science and Engineering Review Panel will be from 10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center, 314 St. Mary St., Thibodaux.
The 11-member panel was formed by the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority to come up with recommendations on possible environmental concerns, potential locations and other components of the Donaldsonville to the Gulf hurricane protection system being worked on by state and federal agencies.
