PRAIRIEVILLE — A masked man armed with a pistol robbed a manager in the back office of Frank’s Restaurant early Monday morning, Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies said.

The robber entered the office on Airline Highway in Prairieville about 5:15 a.m., confronted the office manager and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Lt. Col. Paul Robert, sheriff’s chief of criminal operations.

He said Monday the incident did not occur in the restaurant’s eating area.

Robert said investigators have some leads but had not made an arrest as of late Monday afternoon.

No description of the robber was available.
