East Lakeshore Drive section to be closed

Starting this afternoon, two parts of East Lakeshore Drive will be closed to accommodate filming for the movie “Battle: Los Angeles,” according to a news release from the city-parish.
East Lakeshore Drive, east of Dalrymple Drive between the City Park Golf Course and City Park Lake, will be closed between 3 p.m. today and 8 a.m. Friday.
The section of East Lakeshore Drive that runs along the east side of City Park from the lake north to the railroad tracks near Robert Street also will be closed.
In addition, the section of Dalrymple Drive from East Washington Street to East Lakeshore Drive will experience police-controlled intermittent closures Thursday and Friday evenings. Alternate routes will include Dalrymple Drive and Lake Hills Parkway.
At times, the filming will involve simulated gunfire, pyrotechnics and vapor smoke.
