Six more in La. die from swine flu
Three boys and three women died in Louisiana last week from swine flu related complications, bringing the state’s total number of deaths to 30, the Department of Health and Hospitals reported Monday.
H1N1 vaccine is continuing to arrive in the state every five to 10 days with a total of 253,800 doses already delivered, DHH reported.
Those who died last week from swine flu complications were: two boys and two women from DHH’s Region IV, which includes Evangeline, St. Landry, St. Martin, Acadia, Lafayette, Iberia and Vermilion parishes; a boy from Region V, which includes Beauregard, Allen, Calcasieu, Jefferson Davis and Cameron parishes; and a woman from Region IX which includes Livingston, St. Helena, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes.
