Jindal in St. Louis to raise re-election funds
Gov. Bobby Jindal will be in St. Louis today to raise money for his re-election bid, Jindal’s office said Monday.
The governor plans to seek a second term in 2011.
He left for Missouri on Monday evening and plans to return to Baton Rouge after the event.
Jindal spokesman Kyle Plotkin refused to release details about who was hosting the fundraiser or where it would be held, saying that information would be available from campaign-finance reports due next year.
Jindal has attended a string of out-of-state fundraisers this year. The other trips have taken him to California, Texas, North Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois and Massachusetts.
The governor’s campaign fund topped $3 million by the end of 2008, according to the latest campaign-finance report he’s filed with the state Ethics Board.
