BAKER — Police arrested two women and five men Friday night in an undercover operation involving Internet advertisements for prostitutes, Police Chief Mike Knaps said.

Knaps said investigators placed an online advertisement purporting to be from a prostitute offering services Friday at the Executive Inn on Main Street in Baker.

An undercover agent posed as the prostitute, and the men were arrested when they arrived at the motel and offered her money in exchange for sex, Knaps said.

The women were arrested after a male officer responded to separate Internet advertisements offering their services, the police chief said.

The seven were issued misdemeanor summonses accusing them of prostitution, Knaps said.

Zachary police and West Feliciana Parish sheriff’s deputies assisted with the sting.

Those issued summonses were Doyle Trauth, 66, 2180 Monterrey Blvd., Baton Rouge; Glenn Martinez, 37, 2629 Mississippi Ave., Metairie; Ronald Rorie, 45, 10349 Oliphant Road, Baton Rouge; Bryon Bates, 34, 426 N. Walnut St., Dover, Ohio.

Also Amanda Sepulveda, 18, 1900 Inverness Blvd., Austin, Texas; April Smith, 17, 11444 Reulet Ave., Baton Rouge; and Brady Broussard, 33, 6929 Commerce Circle, No. 6102, Baton Rouge.

Broussard also was cited for alleged possession of marijuana.
