Calif. DT commits to LSU
LSU picked up its 23rd football commitment Monday when Cassius Marsh from Westlake Village, Calif., gave Les Miles his pledge.
Marsh is a 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive tackle for Oaks Christian High School, which holds the No. 5 spot in USA Today's Super 25 rankings. He picked the Tigers after visiting Baton Rouge for the LSU-Florida game on Oct. 10.
"It was basically the reason I decided to go," Marsh said. "Everything about the visit was just about perfect."
Marsh has scholarship offers from a number of BCS schools, including Southern California. He made visits this month to Oklahoma and California as well as LSU.
Already selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Marsh is considered the nation's No. 13 defensive tackle by Rivals.com and is listed at No. 19 by Scout.com.
