A St. Gabriel man was booked Thursday night in the Oct 15 fatal shooting of a Baton Rouge man on Bard Avenue, Baton Rouge police said in a news release this morning.

Larondric Christopher Johnson, 21, 6330 Margaret Drive, was booked on first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal use of a weapon, police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said in the release.

Johnson is accused of shooting and killing 24-year-old Wesley Johnson during a robbery at his home at 11445 Bard Ave., McKneely said.

Johnson was in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on unrelated counts when he was booked on the homicide charge, McKneely said.

He said Larondric Johnson and the victim were not related.
