Due to inclement weather, producers of the movie, “Battle: Los Angeles,” have postponed plans to film several scenes in the City Park area from Thursday through Saturday morning.

The movie producers had planned to close two sections of East Lakeshore Drive along City Park from 10 a.m. Thursday until 9 a.m. Saturday, but will now delay those closures until the filming is rescheduled.

For additional information, contact the city-parish Department of Public Works Traffic Engineering Division at 389-3246.

Filming for the movie "Battle: Los Angels" will close roads in several parts of Baton Rouge through Saturday.

Three local streets near the Choctaw Drive-Plank Road Intersection and around City Park will be closed.  The City-parish government is warning that, because of special effects, residents and passing motorists will at times see smoke and pyrotechnics and should not be alarmed.

Street Closures from 5 p.m. Wednesday through 7 a.m. Thursday.

Three streets near the intersection of Plank Road and Choctaw Drive will be closed from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. Thursday including Monroe Avenue from Scenic Highway to Plank Road, Hiawatha Street from Monroe Avenue to Adams Avenue, and Tecumseh Street from Monroe to Adams Avenue.

Street Closures from 10 a.m. Thursday through 9 a.m. Saturday.

Two sections of East Lakeshore Drive will be closed from 10 a.m. Thursday until 9 a.m. Saturday, including the section of E. Lakeshore Drive east of Dalrymple Drive between the City Park Golf Course and City Park Lake, as well as the section of East Lakeshore Drive that runs along the east side of City Park from Robert Street near the railroad tracks to the lake.

The section of Dalrymple Drive from East Washington Street to East Lakeshore Drive will close intermittently Thursday and Friday nights.

For additional information, contact the city-parish Department of Public Works Traffic Engineering Division at 225-389-3246.
