LSU offering ‘lean’ health care program

LSU Continuing Education is offering a health-care certification program next month on lean health-care principles.
Lean relies on a variety of tools to streamline all aspects of hospital operations, with its main goal of increasing the amount of time available for direct patient care and improving the overall quality of services provided.
The lean process’ roots are in the auto manufacturing sector in the 1980s.
