Suspect in home burglary sought
East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a man caught on video burglarizing a house on Aug. 26 around 1 p.m. in the 8100 block of Calverton Drive.
The man pulled into the driveway of the home, knocked on the door, and then returned to his vehicle to put on a baseball cap and gloves. He then threw an object through a window at the back of the house and enters the residence through the broken window.
The suspect reappeared one minute later and leaves. The man left driving a black vehicle, possibly a Mazda 626. The homeowner did not find anything missing.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” to 5’11”, 140 to 180 lbs. and medium build. He is wanted for Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and Criminal Damage to Property.
