NEW ROADS — Three candidates in the Oct. 17 election for assessor of Pointe Coupee Parish are expected to participate in a question-and-answer session at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The candidates are Assistant District Attorney Larry Bossier of the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office; Jimmy Laurent, chairman of the parish Planning and Zoning Commission; and John “Sassy” Pourciau, a member of the Pointe Coupee Police Jury.
The forum from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be held in the Cottonport Community Center, 208 E. Main St., New Roads.
