Those booked and the counts against them:

Police say man, 23, had sex with girl, 16

Police arrested a 23-year-old man Tuesday, accused of having sex with a 16-year-old girl at least three times, court documents show.

The incidents occurred at the girl’s Baton Rouge home between October and November, an arrest warrant says.

The victim’s mother found out about the incidents in June and reported them to police, the warrant says. Police investigated the allegations and arrested Tyrell Murphy.

Murphy, of 727 E. Perry Lane, Opelousas, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
